Yellow Dextrin C type (Paper product specific

Yellow dextrin is mainly used as a water-based, re wettable adhesive and surface treatment agent in the paper products and packaging industry, with its core advantages of rapid bonding, environmental friendliness, biodegradability, and good initial adhesion.

Specific Applications & Usage of Yellow Dextrin in Paper & Packaging

Product Uses

Rewettable Adhesive Applied on envelopes, stamps, and label backs. Sets dry and becomes tacky again when moistened; dissolves easily in cold water, ready to use conveniently.

Paper Tube & Core Bonding Bonds the layers of spiral-wound or straight paper tubes — used for textile, film, and leather roll cores. Delivers strong bond and noticeably boosts tube rigidity and stiffness.

Paper Surface Coating & Sizing Coated onto paper surfaces to improve smoothness, barrier properties, and printability; also raises physical strength. Used alone or blended with PVA as a surface sizing agent.

General Laminating & Assembly For bookbinding, board lamination, carton edge-sealing, and label mounting. Offers high viscosity, fast drying, good clarity, and bonds well to porous paper stock.

Key Usage Notes

  • Match Viscosity to Purpose— Yellow dextrin covers a wide viscosity range. Rewettable glues need lower viscosity for even coating; tube adhesives call for higher viscosity and higher solids for strength and speed.
  • Prevent Spoilage— Being natural-based, prepared solutions can ferment in warm conditions. Use promptly or add a small amount of food-grade preservative such as sodium benzoate.
  • Ensure Proper Drying— Bond strength builds as water evaporates. Maintain good airflow and adequate drying to secure performance and throughput.
